Planting for Pollinators
Location: Craigavon Senior High School Portadown
As part of the GCSE Agriculture and Land Use at Craigavon Senior High, students learn the importance of protecting our native species, and more importantly, local priority species such as bees, hedgehogs and butterflies. By students getting hands on experience planting for pollinators, plants such as native wildflower seeds & plugs, shrubs, fruiting bushes, native/fruit trees and hedging, our students will see first hand the positive change for such species by their hand. As the plants grow at Craigavion Senior High School, so to will their realisation that their actions can make a positive change for the future of our pollinators and wildlife in Northern Ireland.
