Live Here Love Here Nature Recovery

Our natural world is in trouble. Worryingly, 11% of 2,450 species assessed are threatened with extinction on the island of Ireland. Not only does that deprive us of many species that give our home its unique character, but it also threatens our food security and the functioning of whole ecosystems.

Fortunately, there is a lot that we can do to reverse this decline.

If we add up all our garden and community spaces in the UK, it amounts to a higher quantity of land than all our nature reserves put together. We can create joined-up green corridors that provide our native flora and fauna with the resources they need to thrive. By caring for these areas in the right way, we can deliver food, shelter and habitats that bolster our wildlife population.
