Volunteering

Adopt A Spot Northern Ireland

Volunteer with Live Here Love Here and help us make positive changes to where we live.

Volunteering brings fulfillment to your life, connects you to others and is good for the body and mind. Why not give back to your local community while doing your bit for the environment!

Get involved!

Live Here Love Here offers a range of rewarding volunteer opportunities to support groups and individuals, like you, who want to take environmental action into their own hands. Get involved in our various programmes and campaigns which take place throughout the year - from The BIG Spring Clean in spring, Healthy Oceans Health Minds in autumn, to Adopt A Spot which runs all year round.

You can also check out our Events Calendar to see if there's an event happening in your local area.

Organise your own clean-up event

Why not bring your community together to clean up a local area in need of a little TLC? Whether you're planning a one-off event or a monthly activity, registering your event with Live Here Love Here is the first step to turning your idea into reality.

Once you've decided where and when you'd like to do your clean up, simply follow this guide to register your event:

  • Get started by creating a Live Here Love Here profileIf you already have a profile, log in here.
  • Once logged in, select 'My Profile' on the green banner and fill in your contact details to complete your profile.
  • Under 'Profile Management', you will see '+ Add new event'. Click this and register your event. Please note that you must fill in your details in 'My Profile' to create an event.

Once your event is registered, it will automatically be shared on the Events Calendar, allowing everyone to see what is happening in their area. After your event has taken place, you can input the number of volunteers that got involved, the number of bags collected and the duration of the event. The website will tally the results of all the events you register!

For a successful clean up event, please access the Clean Up Health & Safety Pack, which includes a template risk assessment and our Hints & Tips Booklet:
