BIG Spring Clean

The BIG Spring Clean 2023

Another year of the BIG Spring Clean is complete!

The BIG Spring Clean 2025 took place throughout February and March. The campaign brought together individuals, schools, businesses, and community groups to tackle litter and enhance Northern Ireland’s environment.


Here’s a snapshot of what took place in 2025:

1st March - Dromore, Co. Down; with Higher Ground Community Group 

1st and 2nd March, 2pm - events taking place across Ballyclare and Doagh; with Countryside Custodians

2nd March, 9.30am - Ballyholme Beach; with Ards & North Down Beach Cleaners

4th March, 12pm - Armagh; with South Regional College & Armagh Banbridge & Craigavon Council

4th March, 10am - Riverside Walk; with Fermanagh & Omagh District Council

4th March, 10.30am - Tidal, Toome; with Antrim & Newtownabbey Council

6th March, 11am - Red Bridge, Milner Street or Grosvenor Road Community Centre, Belfast; with Translink

7th March, 10am - Crannog Way, Dungannon; with Choice Housing

8th March, 9am - Randalstown; with Tidy Randalstown & Young Farmers Group

8th March, 11:15am - Groomsport Boat House, Groomsport; with Groomsport Village Association 

8th March, 11am - Newcastle Beach; with Unit T

9th March, 9.30am - Seapark; with Ards & North Down Beach Cleaners

15th March, 9.30am - Chapel Hill, Lisburn; with Countryside Custodians

5th April - Six Mile Water Park, Ballyclare; with Antrim & Newtownabbey Council

10th April - Belfast City Centre; with Linen Quarter Bid

15th April - Omagh Town Centre; with Fermanagh & Omagh District Council

23rd April - Cranfield Beach; with Mae Murray Foundation
