Whether you're an individual, school, business, or community group, Adopt A Spot offers a chance to make a real difference in your local area. With over 1,300 spots revitalised and 20,000 volunteers already involved, the project inspires environmental pride through hands-on action.
From litter picking and wildflower planting to creating community food gardens, every effort—big or small—helps make our shared spaces cleaner, greener, and more vibrant.
Choose Your Spot: Choose a spot you’re passionate about, such as a littered stretch of beach, an messy alley, or simply your neighbourhood street. Always make sure the area is safe and that you have permission to access it.
Plan Your Activities: Decide what activities you wish to undertake in your Spot. You could plant for pollinators, create wildlife habitats, grow food for the community, or do a clean-up.
Register: Create an account on Submittable and sign-up to Adopt A Spot here. By signing up, you agree to maintain your Spot and follow our health and safety guidance.
Log Your Progress: Log in to your account and track your progress by completing the Litter Log. The Litter Log keeps us up to date with your clean-up activities. We'll also send out an annual survey to check how you are getting on and get your feedback.
We’d also love to see your impact—why not share some before-and-after pictures of your Spot? Feel free to email them to us here.
