Adopt A Spot Northern Ireland

We need your help!

Our Local Environmental Quality team at Keep Northern Ireland Beautiful conduct marine litter surveys every quarter on 12 beaches across NI. As part of this work, the beaches must be cleaned after each survey has been carried out. This is to ensure that there is no duplication of litter data in the next quarter’s survey.

If your group, business or organisation could help us by cleaning up any of the beaches listed below during the noted timeframe, please get in touch.

Corporate volunteering

Live Here Love Here can support businesses who wish to get involved in litter picking activities. If you would like to join a clean-up as extra hands, have a look at our Events Calendar for clean-ups happening near you. If you want to arrange a clean-up just for your colleagues or staff members, check out our Volunteering page for more advice. For information on team building and volunteering opportunities, please take a look at the Live Here Love Here Corporate Brochure below.

Council contacts

Whether you want to take a small group of staff out to do a quick clean-up or you are organising a large litter picking event, it's always useful to get in touch with your local council in advance of your event. Most councils can provide information on local litter hot-spots, arrange litter waste collection and provide landowners' permission, if required.

Councils want to hear about your event and may be able to support you further with equipment and resources. Our list of contacts makes it easy for you to speak to the right person, have a look below:
